課程概述 |
This seminar examines Mozart’s works in the context of the Enlightenment movement which they reflected and helped to shape. It will give attention both to the musical style of these works and to their political, social, philosophical, and spiritual dimensions. |
課程目標 |
This seminar aims to provide a deeper understanding both of Mozart's musical style and of its relationships to the social, political, and philosophical contexts of the Enlightenment. |

WEEKLY CLASS MEETINGS WILL BE DEVOTED TO DISCUSSIONS OF ASSIGNED READINGS. AT THE END OF THE SEMESTER YOU’LL OFFER A PRESENTATION AND WRITE A SEMINAR OF 10-12 PAGES ON A TOPIC OF YOUR CHOICE. |
